The Waterloo District Masons selected Oak Bridge Academy as its yearly charity project. It is a long-standing Masonic tradition of raising funds for the special needs, vulnerable and disadvantaged children in their community. Today they came to our school to present to us a cheque for over $13,000!
Thank you for this incredible gift and for seeing the immense value in our incredible students. To find out more, please visit www.waterloofreemasons.ca. Oak Bridge Academy is thrilled to announce we are the recipients of a music therapy grant from the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation! This generous grant will be used to partially fund a 10-week music therapy program for the students of Oak Bridge Academy starting this October. Oak Bridge Academy is excited to partner with Emily Carruthers, a certified Music Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist and owner of KiJengle: Inclusive Music Education & Music Therapy, to provide this service. Music therapy is a research-based practice and profession in which music is used to support development, health, and well-being. At Oak Bridge Academy, this music therapy program will enrich our students' social, emotional and academic experience.
We are so grateful to the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation for helping Oak Bridge Academy provide this amazing opportunity to our students. The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation exists to ensure the needs of our community are met today and tomorrow. They identify needs, fund a wide range of programs and help donors make lasting contributions. To find out more about this valuable community asset, please visit www.cndfoundation.org |
